Blueprint for Healthy Construction

We exist to align construction with ethics: healthier materials, better assemblies, and fewer compromises.

Why We Couldn’t Look Away

Each of our founders have seen firsthand how quickly a home can become unsafe, and how the industry fails in response and treats those outcomes as normal, or treats the unsuspecting victims as the problem.

These unfortunate truths are why we exist: Construction should prioritize human health, through building science and better materials.

“…Our homes will have No Wood, No Drywall, little to No VOC’s,
and Nothing that can sustain mold growth.”
-Founder, Wendy Michaelis, MAC

Where Our Story Really Begins

Tragedy changed our perspective—and made “standard construction” impossible to accept. See why we decided to build differently, on purpose.

Healthier Indoor Environments

We design the building envelope to minimize the conditions that create indoor air problems. That means replacing conventional organic, moisture-sensitive assemblies with advanced SIP panels, modular composite wall systems, perlite-based mineral blocks, and non-wood composite cabinetry and doors. The result is a tighter, cleaner enclosure that supports long-term indoor air quality and occupant health across both hot-humid and cold-climate conditions.

Proven Durability

Our assemblies are engineered to resist the most common failure modes in residential construction: moisture, pests, and fire. We use non-combustible and low-absorption to hydrophobic materials, monolithic design stratigies, and airtight detailing to create a true barrier system that performs in demanding environments, from heat and humidity to freeze-thaw cycles and prolonged cold. When appropriate, we also integrate next-gen thermal materials like aerogels to push performance further without adding complexity.

On-Grid or Off-Grid Without Sacrifice

Most homes are designed to depend on the grid. We design for performance first, so the home works exceptionally well either way. Our high-performance envelope, passive thermal management, and system-ready infrastructure make it easy to stay grid-connected for simplicity, or transition to true energy independence without giving up comfort, indoor air quality, or modern amenities.
